While we love creating animation for our clients, sometimes our “client” is just to do the right thing… Our hearts go out to our friends, family and everyone in New York and the surrounding areas that have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. With them in mind, we produced this short animation to help support donations to the Red Cross. Please contribute if you can, and feel free to share this “PSA.”
We love creating images and animation for clients, and we firmly believe that nothing tells a story or gets a message across faster or better than a cartoon. Cartoons get noticed!
Sometimes a client wants something that has more movement than just an image, but they don’t have the budget for a full animation. Sounds like a job for an animated GIF!
Like our logo at the top of the page and the image above, an animated GIF delivers motion within the simple format of an image file. No video “player” required, making animated GIFs a very flexible, shareable way to get your message noticed.
Here’s how to supercharge your event: The gapingvoid team was engaged by TechCrunch to create a range of content for the 2012 TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco. Gapingvoid produced original animations to launch each day’s programming, designed the official event T-Shirt, and cartoonist Hugh MacLeod was “live tooning” during the event, capturing the vibe and inspiration of speakers including Mark Zuckerberg, Mark Benioff (Salesforce.com), Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Twitter founders Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey, Path founder Dave Morin, and many more. These are some highlights. You can see the full animations for TC Disrupt here.
We created this animation for client Movenbank, for their new product, CRED. It’s a credibility score, not a credit rating, that lets you know just how financially fit you are and rewards you for spending, saving and living smarter. For more info visit whatiscred.com.
It seems we are being inundated with “infographics.” We do our own version, but without all the boring numbers. We call it an “All Over” and it is a great way to tell a story in a single image. This is one we recently did for Cisco.
Sometimes chaos and disruption is a good thing… like when technology and innovation uproots the old guard and bold new companies emerge to inspire change and challenge the status quo. That’s what DISRUPT is all about, and gapingvoid’s Social Object Factory put together this little animation as a Tribute to TechCrunch’s DISRUPT events.
In animation 2 of 2 for client Rackspace we hop aboard the Startup bus!
Our client Rackspace loves startups! This animation (1 of 2) shows just why startups are so important.
This animation was for client HP Enterprise Security. Finding viruses and threats was never this much fun!
